HANDBOOK AGREEMENT
Players will agree to the following to be able and eligible to participate in Lady NDN Soccer:
1. Have a UIL Physical completed and turned in before ever practicing or playing in our program
2. Complete their district required Rank One paperwork online and before practicing or playing in our program
3. Demonstrate mastery in the classroom. Grades will be checked each 3 weeks of the school year. Players failing at the end of a grading period will be ineligible. Players failing the 1st two six weeks grading periods of the year will not be placed on a team for that school year and will be expected to get their grades up on a consistent basis the remainder or that school year to be able to try out again the next school year
4. Players are expected to act accordingly in the school and classroom. After the second offense players will be asked to meet with the coaching staff to determine their future in our program. Removal or a growth plan will be made and determined by the coaching staff. Use self control and demonstrate good citizenship
5. Players will attend classes, training and games and be on time. Absences and tardies will be monitored throughout the year. Once there is a pattern or a problem the coaching staff and player will meet to discuss the consequences.
6. Appropriate and issued gear will be expected to be worn. Players are required to have both frunning shoes and boots for all practices. Do not guess on what we will be doing in practice/class. Consequences will be required if this is not done so. If this becomes a frequent issue, coaches and players will meet and discuss. A plan will then be made if needed.
7. Report all injuries when they occur to your coaches and athletic trainer
8. Jewelry and Shin Guards: these two issues will not be addressed daily. Players are expected to know that NO jewelry is allowed in practices or games. Players should never have to be asked to remove any jewelry. New piercings will also need to be removed. (Plan on getting these in the summer or over a long break). All players will be required to have shin guards daily.
9. Provide the team and program with good attitude and effort daily. Set a positive and respectful tone for our program. Out team culture is set by you and your teammates. Leave a legacy others will strive for.
10. Commuinication: Players are expected to stay informed of all team and program activity by joining the method given by your coaches. Whether that be SportsYou, Remind, Google Classroom, etc. Everything posted there is our way to communicate with you. You are expected to stay in the loop at all times. Your teammates are responsible for themselves, as are you. No excuses!
LETTERING STANDARDS
A letter is an honor to receive and must be earned by the athlete. The following criteria must be met to earn a varsity letter.
a. Athletes must compete in 10 or more of the Varsity games. Team managers must also complete these same requirements also. (Please see letter e below.)
b. Athletes will have no more than 3 absences from practice (severe illness, injury, or family emergency may be excused.)
c. Athletes will remain free from substance abuse violations during the season.
d. All uniforms must be returned or paid for in the event one is lost.
e. Players will not be eligible for a letter if they are academically ineligible at seasons end, have been suspended from the team and have not finished the season, or have been placed in DAEP at anytime during the season.
The coaching staff reserves the right to letter any athlete or manager that does not meet the above requirements.
